The power of the Apple Ballot can be reigned in if enough voters become educated and motivated. Suggestions include:
- Know your candidates! Go to Town Hall meetings and ask tough questions. Write to candidates or call them and let them know that you expect them to answer to you — and not to union interests!
- Don’t follow blindly! Many voters grab the Apple Ballot and vote for every candidate down the list. This gives the union power so be sure to make thoughtful, informed choices.
- Let the unions know what you think! Write to the Montgomery County Education Association and the National Education Association and let them know your thoughts on the political grab known as the Apple Ballot!
Until the unions clean up their act, we hope that voters will BOYCOTT THE APPLE BALLOT in November!
